Caroline has not been herself the past two days. She has been clingy, lethargic, irritable, and just down right "not right." In fact, last night we almost took our first trip to the ER. Caroline had been breathing all night very hard. She seemed winded and unable to catch her breath. We talked to the on call doctor and she recommended we bring her in. However, once we got her in the car she calmed down and seemed ok, so we just kept a watchful eye on her all last night. I am sure she was thrilled because I let her sleep in the big bed with me so I could keep her near.

Today was the same situation, minus the breathing issues. She was very lethargic and after a nice nap, played about 15 minutes, but then climbed up in my lap and wanted to go back to sleep. I immediately called the doctor and got an appointment. We saw the nurse practitioner. Her fever was 101.7, she weighed 22 lbs 2.5 oz (she has gained over a pound since her birthday) and the doctor believes she has a viral infection that must run its course. We started her on Motrin and it seems to be helping her feel better. She has been playing since Justin got home, so we will just keep giving her the Motrin until this passes.

Is it bad that I almost like it when they are like this. Especially if it is minus the vomiting! The snuggling is the best. Hope she feels better!
