Turkey Day

Today I officially hosted a holiday dinner, and I must say it was a success. I didn't do much of the cooking, Justin fried two turkeys and most of the other fixins were brought by my guests. This year we mixed things up, we had my entire family and Justin's entire family at my house for one big family Thanksgiving. Over 20 family members came and I think everyone had a great time. I am usually pretty good about snapping pictures, but I didn't get many today.

My little turkey wouldn't sit still long enough for me to snap a shot, she was too busy playing with the big kiddos. She spent the entire day upstairs with Macie and Charlie, she paid little to no attention to us adults!

I feel like I should thank Macie and Charlie for their babysitting services since Caroline was totally entertained for the entire day!

Here at the Gilmore house, we have much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving has long been my favorite holiday, and today was no different. I love days with family, good food, and thoughts of all I'm thankful for!

Guitar Girl

Is it possible that my child might be musically talented?

Well maybe not talent yet, but Caroline has a strong love of all things music. She points out instruments and calls them "music," she begs for her music in the car, and asks us to sing all the time. When at home she dances and sings to any music in the background.

One thing's for sure, if she does in fact have musical ability it all came from Justin!

Onto something completely different, check out Caroline's Thanksgiving outfit. Grammy, Justin's mom, made this out of Caroline's hand prints and footprint. It is such a great idea and turned out so cute. I love it!!!

She never stops

Although the video might be just a few seconds, this pretty much sums up Caroline's activity level all day long! Whether its running, dancing, jumping, laughing, swinging, climbing, sliding... she is always going full speeed. It gets exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Busy Bee

"Busy Bee!!" That is what Caroline told her Sunday school teacher she was going to be for Halloween, and boy was she right. We had been trying to teach her Bumble Bee, but it kept coming out Busy Bee which was much more appropriate!

Our Halloween was definitely busy. We began the afternoon at our church carnival!! It was super hot and crowded so we stayed just long enough for Caroline to find the bounce house and cookie walk. After that we were out of there and on to our next adventure.

From church we stopped back by our house and had a brief visit and Halloween delivery from Papa and Nana.
After the visit we walked to our neighborhood's Halloween party, which is apparently a big deal. There was music, bounce houses, food, costumes, treats, and tons more.

Most of Caroline's time was spent in the bounce house!
We left the neighborhood party a bit early and rushed over to Caroline's preschool teacher's house. Ms. Pat, as she is called, hosted a big party for all the little kids and she went all out. The kids had a blast.
Here is one picture of the Halloween treats and decorations at Ms. Pat's. This does not show a tenth of what there was, it was so well thought out and planned. Ms. Pat really pours her heart into these kids, we are so lucky we found her!It was quite obvious that Caroline is the youngest because she did not catch onto the whole trick or treating thing as fast as the others.Poor thing, could barely keep up with the gang!

Although it was busy, the day was perfect! Today we woke up to tons of candy and Caroline knows right where it is!!
