Bed Time

Check out this baby ready for bed. I love these slippers.

My mom has been helping me out this week since Justin went back to work. It has been so nice to have the extra help. I really don't know how I would do it without her. This morning she came over and helped me get Caroline all ready for the day. We had her in a cute Gymboree jumper all ready to go see Daddy at work, then she pooped. Unfortunately it got all over her precious outfit so we had to change her. Keeping babies clean is practically impossible. My mom and I then took Caroline to Justin's office. Everyone loved her and said she looks exactly like Justin. We enjoyed a nice lunch and then came back home. It was great to get out of the house. Thank you mom for all you have done for Caroline and me this week. We greatly appreciate you.

I have so much more respect for the many women who raise babies on their own. It is such a hard job...however it is so rewarding. My mom brought up my Nanny yesterday. I don't know how she did it. She had my uncle, my mom, and a new born to raise all on her own. I always knew she was a strong woman, but now that I know what motherhood takes my respect for her has grown. I also appreciate my parents much more after becoming a parent myself. The day Caroline was born my life became no longer just about me. I have someone else whose needs come before mine. It is an incredible feeling that carries great responsiblity. Parenthood is truly the best and most miraculous gift.
Aunt Andrea Gilmore is coming into town this weekend. We are so excited and can't wait. I know Caroline is going to love her sweet Aunt. We just wish she lived closer.
Paige and Zach brought us dinner yesterday. They brought my favorite....On the Border! I did not even have to tell Paige what I wanted. I love cheese enchiladas and could eat them every night. Of course the dinner did not help with my post pregnancy diet, but oh well. We enjoyed a night of talking about our babies, and laughing about all the funny things that go along with sweet babies. Thank you so much for the great meal and friendship. Y'all are the best.
