Mark is a FIREMAN!!!

Friday night my brother had his Burn Night for the Dallas Fire Department. Growing up, my brother dreamed of being  a fireman and today he can call himself an official Dallas Fireman.  We are so proud of
him. He's worked hard for this goal!

Mark spent the last 7 months with these guys and two girls, going to EMT school and fire training to be ready for this day. It's not easy. Most days he is up by 4 and out the door by 5 to be ready to go no later than 6 AM.  He's done everything from delivering babies, riding on ambulances to accidents, rappelling down  buildings, and putting out all types of fires.   It's been cool hearing all his stories!  I look forward to hearing many more!

I was pretty impressed by watching them  put out these fires. Yes, they are practice fires in a controlled environment, but I don't think I could ever muster up the courage to do this in real life.
This monument  is for all the firefighters lost in the line of duty.

Mark, we are so happy for you and proud!  Dallas could not have picked a better candidate for this job, you will serve them well.  Congrats, we love you!
