16 Months

Our little monkey, hanging upside down.

Caroline is 16 months today. She is growing like a weed, rambunctious, silly, happy, speedy, and a bit temperamental these days...pretty much a typical toddler. She fills our lives with laughter and love.

Now some things for this living baby book...

Lately she has become, as my dad says, a CHOW HOUND. She eats everything in sight and is always begging for more. Today at Sunday school the teacher let me know she not only ate her snack but everyone elses. What are we going to do with this little piggy?

Another noticeable change in the past month is she now "carries on conversations." No one else can understand them, but she will talk and talk. I can't wait for her sentences to become understandable.

Caroline runs everywhere she is going. She can climb onto couches and chairs, which leaves us constantly preventing accidents. When we tell her bath, she runs to the bathtub repeating "bath, bath." When we put soap on her hands she rubs them together just like big people and rinses them off. Most of the time, when we say night night she will grab our hand and head toward her room. When it is time to eat, she goes and gets her high chair and begins pulling it into the breakfast area. She points to our eyes when we say eyes...she is not really interested in other parts. She cheers when she hears cheering and says "yay." When she sees pictures of herself she says "baby" and will occasionally kiss them. Her newest words are poo poo, (I know, just lovely, but maybe she will let me know when she needs a new diaper) step, bath, night night, Papa, and bow, she loves to take it out and tell me about it.
