At the beginning of the summer, I was dead set on having Caroline potty trained by the time I returned to work. If you can remember way back in the winter Caroline would frequently use the potty so I was sure she would be easy to train. Caroline has displayed a few signs of being ready and all summer I casually worked with her. This week I decided to hit it hard and attempt the three day method.I had all panties ready, although a little big, and we put them on. She went a couple of hours without pottying, I kept taking her in there because with as much as she was drinking I was sure she needed to go.
Well you know what they say about breaking the seal. Around eleven she had her first accident within 2 minutes of getting off the potty. By one o clock we were through all 6 pairs of underwear, and she was not getting the idea of holding it until we got to the potty. She actually seemed to be afraid of the potty, because most accidents were within minutes of getting off of it.

I soooooo understand your situation!! Karlie has been so stubborn about potty training, but since she turns 3 in just 4 more months I'm really trying to stick with it. But I totally understand your thinking. Good luck whenever you decide to try it again. I had a lot of hope for that 3 day method too...
HA! Breaking the seal! Remember, it's her milestone, not yours. Don't feel too much pressure, if you wait a few months you will be shocked at how much easier it is. And don't give up on 3 day, it really works great, but you have to give it three solid no nonsense days.
You're probably making a smart choice. You need to post pics of your new house!!
More power to you! I waited until I was sure Caleb was ready and it was a piece of cake-- he had it down pat in just a few days. I think you're making the best choice. There's no reason to stress yourself out about-- she'll get it when she's ready!
You are totally doing the right thing. My older son was a lot more reluctant and was scared and uninterested...my pedi suggested waiting till he was three. My little dude was showing tons of signs of readiness and was a piece of cake at 2. GO FIGURE! My mom always says that no one goes to Kindergarten in diapers. It's so not worth the pressure.
Man, I am trying to decide with cru. We have had a hard time getting him to keep his diaper on! He wants to run around naked all the time and hates his diaper now! I think I might try the weekend after the girls trip... Which I can't wait for!!! Anyways, I love the sweet Caroline post and I am going to have to steal the pics from the playdate!
I bet she will do super the next time you try. And that is great that she can hold it for 2 hours. Definitely a good start!
It's definitely all about when they are ready. I bet she gets it next time!
