Growing Up

Caroline is really growing up. She attends preschool, answers questions, talks on the phone, and uhhhh... enjoys her evening coffee. Yep, she now requests which cup we put her milk in, and she brought this down from her playroom and insisted to drink from it. We have to pick our battles these days, and this was one I wasn't willing to engage in. Toy coffee cup it was!
Drinking it up while reading before bed!

On a serious note, I had a major PROUD MOM moment. Caroline identified the letters A and B tonight! This is a big deal for us, I know tons of kiddos know all their letters by two, but Caroline has cared less until recently. I was so impressed when I pointed to the A tonight and she said, "A." I then proceeded to B and she said, "B." I thought I was going to fall over! Shortly after she was making the B sound, but that might have just been luck. However, she did repeat the letter names a couple of times and even said "C" a time or two, but not as much as A and B. Maybe this preschool is already paying off, or maybe things are just beginning to click in that smart brain of hers. I'm not sure, but for now we are excited and so proud of our sprouting learner.

YAY! I bet the preschool is helping already. Just being in a different learning environment may make all the difference.

Ha! I love this post! And I feel ya on the letters thing! Cru has just started to be more interested too! Do you think they talked and were like, "OK, let's give our moms a break. Will give th a letter or two and maybe if they are being nice and giving us what we want then we will throw in a color or something!"
