Random Tidbits

Running.....

Crash and burn. She quickly got up and began brushing herself off. It is funny how kids pick up on things so early.

This weekend was a long weekend for me. We have enjoyed relaxing and spending time in the warm sunshine.
Caroline is beginning to talk more and more. Some new words are blue, blocks, back, all done, all gone, Elmo, bless you, slide, socks, boat, cat, cheese...that is about all I can think of at the moment. She has begun trying to repeat a lot of what we say to her. Hooray for chatty Caroline.
Caroline went poop in the toilet on Saturday. I could hardly believe it, and I think Caroline was shocked too. She turned around and looked surprised by what she saw. However, she has not peed in the toilet since Wednesday. Now when she sits on the toilet she makes pushing sounds and then gets up and turns around to see if she did anything. Ha!

Caroline's hair is about as straight as it comes. Most of the time it just sticks to her head or stands out. I have some soft curlers from forever ago, so I decided to give them a try on Caroline. She really doesn't mind having them in and she sits still while I do it. They do make her hair look a bit better, but I think I will save the hassle for special occasions. Her hair is really beginning to take off and grow, and that makes me soooo happy. I'm looking forward to a pony tail.

We should be pouring the foundation of our house this week. I am excited to walk around and get an idea of where all the rooms will be.

We are constantly thinking how blessed we are after seeing and hearing of all the hardships and tragedy here and around the world. Thoughts and prayers of Thanksgiving have been abundant around here. We are praying for the people of Haiti in this great time of need. I wish I could just scoop up all those precious children and bring them to safety. I am overcome with grief after seeing the images of injured and orphaned children. I must remember God is bigger than this earthquake and will care for his people.

Great post! Um, I hope you've started saving some of her clothes for my kids one day. Seriously. Just make me a pile and name your price.

I am so amazed by your Caroline! She is something else, already pooping on the potty! What a big girl. Her hair is so cute, I wish I had a blondie like that, then maybe someone would tell me my girls look like me, but then again I am a total fake blonde so I probably wont ever have a blonde cutie. Oh and I heard a statistic last night, if you have two of the same sex kids the odds of you having an opposite sex kid is only 17%, we really probably will be a family of princesses.
