Anyway, Sunday we bought a toilet and set it all up. We are NOT pushing this issue at all but just kind of wanted to see what Caroline would do. Sunday after bath time she sat down and went #1 into the baby toilet. She then immediately turned around, put her hand in it, and then....well I'm not going to tell you what happened next. After a brief freak out about what Caroline did after she pottied, I remembered some things I have seen on Man vs Wild and felt better about the situation. All we could do is laugh at this little toddler peeing in a toilet. Monday morning she went again in the toilet.
However, since Monday morning she has seemed afraid of the toilet and will only sit down for about a second before she hops up and runs around. Any time I ask her about sitting on the potty she promptly replies with a stern, "no."
My plan is to potty train this summer when I have extended time off and can focus on the task!
(Excuse the hair, please)
Who knows, we will see how it goes. Until then, we will just continue to see how Caroline reacts to the new toilet.

so cute!
Love those pics!! Caleb was the EXACT same way. He even pooped on the potty a few times around 18 months. But, then he lost interest and acted "afraid" of it also. When he was about 2 1/2 I noticed that he was having very few wet diapers during the day. So, I decided to go ahead and potty train then. I kid you not, it took 2 days for him to get the peeing part and about 2 weeks for the pooping. It was so easy-- I think because I waited until I knew he was physically ready.
We are going on that adventure as well!! I am sure you have seen my picture this week of our potty training adventures :) It is crazy to think that our babies are old enough to soon be out of diapers!!!
That is awesome that she went potty the first time!!
what a big girl! She's so cute! We're potty training this summer too if I can hold out that long.
What cute pictures... and good luck!
These pics are so cute!! I think Kelly is ready to at least be introduced, but we just haven't. And so fun about your house coming along!! So exciting!!
Blake has never gone on the potty. She says she wants to and then just sits there and nothing. Caroline sounds like she will be easy to train. I will probably try this summer too, we should try and do it together for some support. I wonder what good books there are about it.
That is awesome that she went #1!!!! She may potty train early! Kinsley was not so interested but we got there eventually! Oh and I LOVE the hair! So cute!
