This week 46 piers were dug 17 feet into the soil, and soon enough our house will be perched upon these piers. Our house basically sits on a pile of mush so we had to get creative with our foundation. These piers are similar to the stilts you see on beach houses. They will support our home and keep it from shifting with the soil, or so I am told. (I know nothing about construction, engineering, etc.)

Toby and I were driving around Mansfield the other day and saw ya'lls lot (we think). I was so excited for ya'll. I think it is so awesome that Justin designed your house.
