Stinker

This little, sweet, flower wearing girl has been quite a mess today. It all started this morning before church. She ended up staying at Grammy's last night because we stayed late at the Walker's watching the game. When I came to get her, she was playing outside with Grammy having the best time. Well when I scooped her up and brought her inside, she was angry and she let me know it. The arched back, stiff body, crying, screaming....it was terrible. This child is an outdoor girl, and never wants to go in.

Throughout the day she has continued to express her will and let it be known when she wants something. She hasn't acted this way in a while, so I am hoping she is not getting back into this trend. Maybe it was just a rough day.
Of course, when I talk to my mom, Justin's mom, the babysitter, or church nursery they express how great she is the entire time. I really think she acts this way for Justin and me more than anyone else. It is funny how children figure things out so early. I've heard repeatedly that kids are always the worst with their parents. I would much prefer it that way, but I need to start implementing the tactics I have read more consistently. That little stinker!

Other than Caroline expressing her toddler will, we have had a fun day outside. See?

Caroline played at her water table, and ate and drank at her water table.
Caroline stole her ball back from Boomer.
She high stepped through the grass, and roamed the yard.
She swung! (that doesen't seem like a word to me, but that is what the spell check said)
She climbed, sat back, and relaxed.

I was always an outside kid growing up, I hated watching TV and being stuck indoors. Blake is the same way. Parenting a toddler is hard, you are doing a great job though!

kynli does the exact same thing with us. the people at daycare, church nursery, etc always tell me she is so good and never cries, whines, ot acts up in the slightest, but she is completely different with us. she knows how to test the limits (especially with me) and she will sometimes act like a completely different child from the time i walk into get her at school to the time i get her into the car and home (which is about 5 minutes)!!!

Yep, that baby fever will creep up on you. I never thought I would be ready so soon for a second but it is just heaven having her around to snuggle and play with.
