Bouncing on her chair.

I love this toddler age. I love Caroline and everything about her at this stage. I love being the parent of a toddler. Caroline is so stinking cute right now and instigates a good belly laugh at least once a day. Oh yes, it does come with challenges, but I cannot complain a tiny bit. Now for a few recent stories:

Yesterday, she spent forever in the bathtub. She has learned to lay down and kick, sit up and splash, and drink the bath water just like Boomer. She still loves her bath, although she does not love me putting water over her head, which I figured would be the case.

The other day she walked up to the dryer and said, "hot." She is finally beginning to use her words properly.

Recently at Taco Bueno I got her a cup of water. I put a lid and a straw on top and all she wanted to do was set it on the table, pick it up, take a drink, and sit it back down, just like us big people.

Her babysitter, instead of saying "no", makes an "eeehhh" sound. When Caroline plays or gets into things she shouldn't she will make an "eeehh" sound as well.

Anything that goes wrong or looks out place, Caroline notices and says, "uhoh."

Last week we were driving home and there were cows beside our car. She looked out the window and said, "dog."

Other words she uses are outside, bye bye, mama (finally), dada, shoes, bite, milk, ball, banana, what's that, duck, and glasses (she is obsessed with glasses).

She frequently goes into her bedroom, gets into her bows and puts them on top of her head. Of course this is fun for her, and she knows exactly what to do with them, but she refuses to wear them when she notices she has one in. I like to sneak them in.

She loves to dance and "snap" her fingers.

Patty Cake brings a smile to her face daily. She has also recently learned Ring around the Rosie, but her favorite part is the fall down time...that is all she really does.

Caroline's bedtime behavior was awful tonight. I put her in bed and she screamed and screamed and gagged! I took her out and let her play thinking I put her in bed too wound up, but who knows. Maybe it was the ice cream I fed her after dinner. She finally went down around 8!
