Dedication

After 31 years, or 1,116 weeks, or about 5,580 school days my mom is retiring from her 5th grade teaching job at Dunn Elementary. She spent everyone of her teaching days in the same school and same grade level. I know my mom loved her job and was committed to student success. She is a hard worker that never stops until the job is complete. Congrats Mom on a job well done. Enjoy your retirement. You deserve it.

Tonight AISD honored service years and retirees. We all went to celebrate this special occasion.

On another note, today my team surprised me with a cake and a gift card for my graduation. They are so thoughtful and kind. They have been a strong support system this year, and have carried an extra load at times to help me out.

I look so sleepy in this picture...I really wasn't
