Bad Babysitter

What is going on?

Last night Paige and Zach went to the Ranger game and I agreed to watch Blake. Paige left about 6:30 and Blake was in Caroline's crib, but not yet asleep. When I checked on her I saw stuffed animals on the floor and it scared me because I thought it was Blake. (I know...horrible thought) I then noticed Blake was standing up and crying. We had tested the bed earlier in the day and knew that Blake could not get out. Even so when I walked back in the living room I still worried that she really would try to escape and hurt herself. I would hate for that to happen during my first babysitting experience. Paige is very strict with her sleep schedule and it works very nicely so I did not want to disturb that. However, I figured Paige would rather her daughter be safe and she would not mind if I went and got her. I probably should not have, but I walked in the room and Blake leaned out to me so I rescued her from Caroline's unfamiliar bed. I felt sorry for sweet Blake. This is when things got a little hectic. When I got into the living room, Caroline who was resting in the swing became very unhappy. So I had a newborn and a one year old who were not too happy!! Stressful! I called Justin and told him to hurry home because I had created quite a situation. I just kept rubbing Blake's back and was trying to feed Caroline a bottle with the other arm. They were still not too happy but I was at least in a position where they were both safe and not inconsolable. Finally, when Justin got home I passed off Caroline and went and put Blake back to bed. This time she did not even stand up. She was so tired she just scooted herself into a heap in the corner and drifted off to dream land. It was a crazy, but humorous night.
