After church we went to my parent's for lunch. We were planning on having a picnic and then going out on the boat, but the wind was blowing like crazy.
Speaking of my parents, above is my lovely Mom. She is so much more than a Mom and I love her dearly. She still, although retired with all grown kids, puts us before herself. She even keeps my daughter three days and week and genuinely loves it. She is a blast to be around, loves life, and makes every minute count. So instead of going to the lake, we grabbed a couple of pizzas and headed out to the park. After stuffing ourselves silly, my brother had a grand idea of taking us on a hike he used to go on as a kid. Well we ended up having to cross this.....
It wasn't as treacherous as it looks and we all made it over with ease and help from my Dad and brother. However, Justin tried a different strategy and ended up in the water.
Good thing he wore his fishing shirt.....aren't they supposed to be somewhat waterproof or something?
Later that evening we went with Justin's family to the Oasis. Justin's Mom and Granny are pretty great too. They are always around when we need them and love Caroline and us to the moon. What more can you ask? Caroline and Charlie hardly sat down at dinner. They spent most of the time throwing our chips and crackers at the fish and ducks.

To all the Moms out there...new, old, soon to be (Andrea), Happy Mother's Day!
