Yesterday we made our second call to Poison Control. Around lunch time I noticed that Caroline was playing with my book light. I thought, OK no big deal. Well a few minutes later I noticed something in her mouth, it was the small cell battery that goes into the book light. I got it out, threw it away, and all was good. Well later that day while sweeping I found another cell battery and decided to look to see if there were more batteries that could have fallen out. Well there was a spot for three small batteries and I only found two. I turned the house upside down looking for the third. When it was no where I began to worry she ate it. Of course I first consulted the Internet and found that I should have dialed 911 hours before....Oh the trusty Internet!
Before rushing her to the emergency room for an X-ray, we called Poison Control and they said if it did not get caught in her esophagus it would pass naturally with no harmful effects. Obviously it was not in her esophagus since she was eating and drinking. Caroline is absolutely fine, but we have yet to find the battery. Wonder if it will make its reappearance in a few days?!?
Once again....I love Poison Control, but I really hope they do not know us on first name basis by the time I get Caroline raised.

Oh man! Gotta love curious little ones. And why is it that you cant get a kid to eat a veggie but they seem to enjoy eating batteries...or in my case...poop!
