Today was a long day. I woke up at 5, got myself ready, and then fed and got Caroline ready. We were off at 7 AM for our day. I dropped her off and headed to school. Being a working mom is hard work. I was overwhelmed from the moment I stepped into the building. Teaching is a never ending job, but I must learn to cut it off somewhere. Today was fine and my kids at school were great. My sub really cared about the kids, and I can tell they bonded with her. I felt more like the sub today. I had to ask my kids which bathroom they used after PE and recess, and I had to ask what they had completed and not finished. They kept calling me by the sub's name and kept asking when she would return. I kind of felt betrayed, but I understand because they have been with her for practically the entire year.
Justin had to pick up Caroline today because I had class this afternoon. The sitter told Justin that we need to give the other parents some tips on sleep. I guess we have gotten pretty good at our daily sleep schedule. Great book...thanks Paige for the recommendation. Mondays and Thursdays are going to be the worst because I don't get home until after 8 and Caroline is usually asleep. On these days I will cherish those midnight feedings and early mornings.

Back to work
"Child separation anxiety begins around 9 months, but for the mother it begins at birth."
I have to return to work tomorrow and I am dreading it big time. Caroline and I have had a very fun and special past four weeks. It has been great bonding time for us and we have enjoyed every minute. I feel I have become more comfortable in the mother role and gotten more confident with taking Caroline out in public. We have been shopping, visiting friends, going to meet Justin for lunch, sleeping in, establishing a schedule, visiting Granny, and even battling a mouse (with help of my neighbor). What a wonderful four weeks it has been. I look forward to my upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. Caroline adds so much to my life, and she makes an ordinary day extraordinary.

I have been tagged!
The rules: List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, and 3 facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog!
3 Joys!
1. My baby Caroline and my husband Justin. I love my sweeet girl so much and she brings so much joy and light into my life. Being a mother is the best and I look forward to raising my family, and watching them grow into young people. Justin is a wonderful, kind man who puts others before himself. I am lucky to have been blessed with a perfect husband.
2. My family. I have the best family. We enjoy being around each other and always gather to celebrate special times. My family has taught me the importance of being a family and I hope to pass those values to my children.
3. My friends. I have amazing friends who would do anything for each other. It is great to pick up the phone to ask a silly question or vent after a hard day.
3 Fears!
Those that know me know that I am basically afraid of everything and I worry about everything. I have gotten better with age though, but being a mother has brought the worry back.
1. Losing someone I love, or not being around to see my children grow up.
2. Really bad storms...always have been, always will be. There will be a cellar in my next home.
3. Mean people who do terrible things to others, disease and illness, and snakes.
3 Goals!
1. To be the best mom! I will do all I can to raise my children in a loving and supportive home.
2. I love teaching and I love teaching where I do because I really feal I can make a difference. It is a huge goal, but I would love to see my students all grow up to be good people who graduate high school and possibly even college and make a positive contribution to their society.
3. To become closer to the Lord. I am a Christian and I go to church each Sunday, but during the week I get caught up in other things and do not focus on improving my relationship with Christ. I want to know him and his word more, and spend an amount of time daily with the Lord.
3 Current Obessions!
I am doing 4 because I cannot cut it down.
1. Blogging and reading other people's blogs.
2. Reading...I love to read a good book. I am currently reading a book I have to read for class...The Pact. It is awesome and just sucks me in. A good book is so much better than anything on TV.
3. Shopping for my baby. I love looking at baby clothes. I might be dressed in rags but as long as Caroline is looking good I am happy.
4. College and Pro football. Go Texas Tech! I also am obsessed with managing my fantasy team.
3 Facts!
1. I am a 3rd grade teacher and might eventually want to be a principal.
2. I have a big dog Boomer and lost a sweet dog named Sadie last winter.
3. I love to travel!

Caroline rolled over
Caroline rolled from her back to her tummy today. I had suspected that she could do this because one other time I found her on her tummy. However, I had never seen it happen so I did not consider it the "first time she rolled over." Today we did not see it in person, we saw it on our video monitor. We put her in her bed for her morning nap and watched as she rolled her self onto her stomach.
Biscuits...I am done!
The biscuits are the final straw. I am the worst cook. I cannot even cook biscuits. As far as all the new recipes that I tried, they were a total bust. They tasted awful and Justin and I could barely stomach one helping. We have heaps of left overs...I guess Justin just saved it to make me feel better. Today his exact words were...."babe, you just need a little practice."
