Happy Easter, y'all. There is so much I love about Easter. Jesus, a great church, an inspirational preacher and message, kids, Easter baskets, chocolate, eggs, family, food, warm weather, sunshine, happiness, hope, forgiveness...seriously the list could go on forever. I truly love Easter. This year our church held services in the new Mansfield fine arts building, it was amazing. The place is mind blowing, especially for a school district venue, and the music and message were uplifting. So many times I get caught up in how dark and superficial this world can be, but the message today was all about hope. He paid for our sin, death is a lie, and life reigns. What a great day!
Thursday, we had Holy Thursday at church. Justin and I went separately so we could keep Carter at home. It was just a time to come, sit, think, pray, and then take communion. I was so proud of Caroline as Justin took her to take her first communion.
After church we came home to prepare for as Caroline called it, the adult party. Lucky for her Charlie came, so it wasn't all adults after all. We had to take Easter pictures, of course. As luck would have it, for the second year in a row Caroline had a major boo boo on her face. This year it was a big shiner under her eye. She ran smack into a post on the swing set yesterday. She couldn't figure out what happened, she told us "She was just walking straight."
I just love this picture, she is really into having her picture as you can tell. HA.
Why won't the older one just pull it together for one shot??
This was about the only smile I got out of her.
After pictures and a quick nap, all our family came over to eat Sunday lunch. There were probably about 20-25 of us here. I love a full house!!!
The Easter bunny came during nap, so eggs were hunted prior to lunch.
After lunch, Caroline and Charlie decorated the annual bunny cake. It didn't really look like the usual bunny cake, as you can imagine. Judging from Charlie's expression it seems they had a great time.

Looks like fun! Your kids are just so cute! Caroline looks like she is just Miss Personality! Love Carter's sweater too!
Those pictures are still adorable, even with the sad face & shiner.
