Eight years ago today, about a month after I graduated from Tech and moved back home, I married Justin. In that first month post college, I got my first job, moved into my first home, and got married. Talk about big time life changes; going from a free college girl to a responsible working, home owner, and married woman was a bit drastic! Our eight years together has been great, there have definitely been ups and downs, but we have been blessed.
I look forward to growing old with Justin and continuing to live by the vows we shared on that special night eight years ago.
Yesterday, this little man turned 8 months old. At eight months he is still trying his best to crawl, poor little guy gets so frustrated that he can't just go!! He does have the tummy scoot down so that allows him to get to things close around him. He's pulled up a few times on very low items, but I would not call him a "puller-upper."
He's sleeping pretty well, still occasionally waking but most nights I just let him fuss for a bit and he goes back down. Since I am now officially out for summer, we are working on a day time sleep schedule. I'm not going to sugar coat it, Carter is a bit spoiled or whatever you want to call it. (I've always heard the phrase you can't spoil a baby.) His favorite activity is being held and carried around, sometimes when I go to sit him down to play he stiffens up so I have no other choice but to lay him down on his back. He fusses and cries until he gets engaged in a toy or activity...he's just a bit high maintenance. I do love loving and cuddling on him, so I don't mind holding him most of the time. He won't be a baby for long and I know that, so I'm just soaking it all in.
Carter sure loves his sister, he laughs at her all the time and it brings such joy to me! Looking forward to spending this next couple of months home with him and his big sister! :-)
