Thursday night, Baby Maddy stopped in for a visit. It is amazing the difference six weeks makes. Maddy seems light years older than Carter at this point.

Last Friday morning we started the day in the bean bag chair. Caroline LOVES her little brother. I am so proud of her, she has not shown any jealousy and wants to help take care of him all the time. Can't wait to see the relationship these two form as they grow old.

Later that day I took Carter for his two week check up, but he was only 10 days. Due to his jaundice they wanted to see him a bit earlier. He is doing fabulously, he had already grown over an inch and weighted in a 8.1 lbs, 2 ounces above his birth weight.
Now if you know anything about me, you know I am not the sit at home type. Well with two kids now, I am finding I am having to stay home more than I like. Well, maybe not any more....I went out and invested in a Moby wrap. Here I am baby wearing at the park this past weekend. I love this thing, Carter is cozy and I am pretty much hands free.

Finally, here is my sweet new babe. I took these pictures Tuesday, on his two week birthday. I am almost scared to write it for fear it will jinx me, but he is the sweetest, easiest baby. He rarely cries, eats well, and is sleeping 3-4 hour stretches every night. He wakes, eats, and then goes right back down. It's amazing!!
One thing I was not prepared for is changing boy diapers. It is like going to the races...if I don't secure the new diaper within about a minute, I am almost surely going to be peed on. We have to do complete wardrobe changes multiple times a day. If anyone has any tips on how to prevent this, let me know. I have heard the pee pee tepees are not any good, but if you have had different results, speak up!

We are looking forward to trick or treating this weekend. Our neighborhood is doing the festivities Saturday night. Carter is going to be a monster and Caroline a Disney Princess. Guess who picked out that costume...definitely not what I would have picked, but she is still cute as can be. (I am convinced that all little girls have a fascination with princesses regardless of exposure...she never watches Disney or hardly any TV, but still recognizes a princess when she sees one.)

He is so cute. Both of your lil ones are adorable. Glad you are able to get out and about! Sunshine always can bring some happiness! :)
Beautiful babes! Love it!
He is so adorable! I am experiencing the same issues with the diapers. I'm hoping as he gets bigger, it won't be so bad.
So sweet!!! Glad the baby blues were just that...and nothing more!! Hope to see you soon!
Hi Allison,
We've actually never met, which is much creepier to type than I thought it would be! I grew up with Justin and we were friends until college... random, I know.
I've been a secret blog stalker of yours for a while. I have a son that is almost exactly the same age as Caroline...
Anyway, I thought I would speak up finally because I had a tip for the diaper dilemma! When Hudson was tiny, we would ALWAYS put a wipe over his "peep" as soon as we started changing a diaper. Then if he peed, we weren't covered in it. It's not fool proof, but it worked for us. And it gets way better once they get older. :)
Hope that helps!
Congrats on your sweet new addition. Please tell Justin that I said hi... :)
