38 weeks

Here I am before church on Sunday at exactly 38 weeks. I really can't complain, my pregnancy has been complication free, I am still feeling fine and on my feet most of the day working. My only true discomfort is awful heartburn and reflux when I recline at all....which as you can imagine causes me to be up most of the night. I am tired, but I guess adrenaline and natural motherly instincts are kicking in to keep me going. I won't lie....I've wanted to avoid induction and wait until my body does its thing naturally this entire pregnancy, but now the anticipation is killing me. I can't wait for baby Carter to be here and I am excited for the entire birth experience again. The day I had Caroline was the best day of my life to this point.

My doctor got me thinking even heavier about induction today when he told me he is leaving town Wednesday and won't be back until that following Tuesday, which is past my due date. I love my doctor and really want him to deliver. (If you live in the Mansfield area, I highly recommend Dr. Krombach!) He said he would induce Tuesday the 11th, so I am thinking and praying on that right now. I am still not 100% at peace with it, but am seriously considering it. One thing that is cool is Carter's birthday would be 10-11-11 and Caroline's is 7-08-08.
Maybe if I do induce and don't get the whole rushing to the hospital in labor experience this time, I can convince Justin into having a third and finally get that experience! ;-)
As for now, I'm off to enjoy possibly the last weekend of being a family of three. We've got some fun stuff planned with Caroline and I'm looking forward to some leisure before life gets really busy!

The cuteness of Caroline and Carter's birthdays would be enough to make me induce!

Good luck! And enjoy this next week! We can't wait to see pictures of your sweet baby boy.

Do it, do it, do it! :) Praying you have peace for whichever decision you make. I was induced with Eli and it was glorious. (oh, and because I was induced with Eli, both my kids birthdays ended up on the 5th, which I thought was pretty cool). Excited for you!

We definitely had that fun rush to the hospital experience-my husband had just gotten a new truck so he made me sit on a towel and hold a bowl since I had been throwing up! Haha. Definitely something we laugh about now...good luck to you!

So exciting! I hope Carter will come before your doctor leaves town. We are in the same situation with our doctor being out of town. It's always cool to see when the little ones decide to come on their own. My water broke in my sleep. That's a fun experience;)

Best wishes to you! I have been induced twice and the second time especially was a WONDERFUL experience. Just a 3 hour long process before he was born. I could totally do that again! Hopefully your delivery experience will be wonderful too! XOXO!!

Those pictures are so adorable! If your doctor might possibly be out of town then I would definitely induce. Maybe he can strip your membranes the day before & you'll go in on your own.

I had the exact same situation and decided to induce and it was the best experience ever! Especially since I had already done the rushing in scenario! We were so much better rested and calm..u know? I was also nervous about Anderson and the whole middle of the night situation and him not waking up with us there..just confusion! Best of luck! U will do great either way! Praying for a fast and easy delivery:)
