Zoo

It is hard to believe, but I have never taken Caroline to the Ft. Worth zoo. We went to the Dallas zoo (which I also think is great) one time when she was around one, but have never been back. This girl loves animals so I knew it was time to take her again. Friday, Justin, Grammy, and about 20,000 others took off work and we went to the zoo. From the moment we walked in, Caroline was mesmerized by all the animals. The flamingos were first on the agenda, and possibly the biggest hit of the day. The flamingos, along with the ducks and turtles...you know animals you see quite often just strolling the local park. I guess it doesn't take much to impress this girl.

We took a picnic and spent the afternoon dragging Caroline out of one exhibit and onto the next. By the time we reached the main attractions, Caroline was getting tired and didn't seem too excited.

The monkeys were scary....that is about the only response we got out of her throughout the entire African safari and monkey area.
I guess turtles and ducks seen at the zoo are really something special.
After about 3 and half hours of zoo fun, Caroline was pooped. She plopped on Grammy's shoulder for the long walk to the car.

We really had a blast, and hope to go back soon....just maybe not on spring break again!!!
