Again, this will be interesting to maybe one of my blog readers, continue if you wish.
Saturday night was definitely not one for the history books. Tech lost, it wasn't pretty, and downright hard to watch at times. I tossed and turned and didn't sleep well thinking of the outcome, I think I'm too into all of this. I told someone recently that after we lost to OU in 08 I wasn't the same for about two weeks. Big losses hit me hard. I've had a strange love for football since childhood and that doesn't seem to be waning.I must give the Texas D credit, those boys are fast and can play. There had to be 8 dudes out there that will be successful at the next level.

Unlike many casual Tech fans I spend an absurd amount of time reading about the team. I have a passion and a love that runs deep, one loss or ten, that fire is not going away. I recognize many feel that we are doomed now that the beloved pirate is gone, but I say tap the breaks. Give Tubs some time. No, Saturday wasn't pretty and we put up only 150 yards, but don't forget all the eggs we laid against lesser competition in the past. One of the most memorable was the 2006 TCU game....we scored 3 points (TCU was not who they are now). Don't get me wrong, I loved Leach and the offense he put on the field, but I'm not going to beg for someone back that isn't coming back.
Our offense, running off the field, they did a lot of this!Tubs brings a lot to the table. Sunday afternoon we secured a commitment from a young guy who has offers from California, Michigan, and Alabama among others. He has raised millions and upgraded many facilities. I have a good feeling Tuberville knows what he is doing and it will only be a matter of time before we are clicking. This season, I hope, but I know it won't be long. One huge problem is our offensive line. Apparently the blocking scheme has changed, couple that with an inexperienced players and we've got problems. This is deeper than Potts/Sticks. On the other hand it appears the defense has quickly developed into something much better than in past years. The last time we had a pick six was against Colt McCoy in 2008. Had it not been for two silly personal fouls, we would have been down by only six with the ball. I can't wait to see them progress throughout the season.
Our new defensive coordinator is in the far back.
Our new defensive coordinator is in the far back. And that's about all I have to say, Wreck em and good night!

Allison, I love your football insight and love your tech posts. I have turned into more of a casual fan since the 08 season. That season was intense and heartbreaking at times so I have taken a step back for the sake of my own anxiety. Keep up the red raider posts, you know your stuff!
