Weekend Getaway

I like to say I am a lake person, I love boating, sunning, skiing, swimming, and tubing. The only downside is that I always have the thought of a snake or other creature swimming up on me, but other than that, I'm a lake person!

My dad has had a boat for as long as I can remember. Many family memories involve the lake in some form or fashion. This weekend we rented a place on one of our favorite lakes and spent the weekend on the water. If you don't know anything about Lake Bridgeport, you should check it out. Its a little known gem of a lake not too far northwest of Ft. Worth.

We all spent the weekend taking in all the lake had to offer. From popsicles
to sitting on the front porch,
and just spending time with one another, I'm pretty sure everyone had a good time.

My dad did lots of fishing, with lots of success!We all did lots of swimming,watching the world go by on the dock,

some careful tubing with Caroline, and some not so careful tubing with everyone else,
lots of riding in the boat,
and plenty of rocking on the front porch.Life was good at Lake Bridgeport!
Everyone enjoyed jumping off the dock,
including my dad, mom, and aunt.
Caroline enjoyed climbing into this swing over and over and over again!
I finally got brave enough and enjoyed jumping off the dock over and over again.
We all survived, maybe a little burned with a bit of whip lash from being tossed into the lake at full speed, but definitely relaxed and hoping to get back out to the lake soon!
