Carol of Lights

Boomer enjoying the campus. You can't just run off and leave a diabetic dog, so he travels everywhere with us! Other than being bitten by Mark's roomate's dog, he enjoyed the trip.

Unfortunately we were not at Tech for the official Carol of Lights, but we did go down onto campus Saturday night to view the lights. Tech always does a beautiful job lighting up the campus. Campus feels so warm and inviting this time of year.

Determined

One word describes my brother Mark...DETERMINED. His journey though college has not been without speed bumps, but Mark never gave up. Saturday we celebrated his accomplishment and cheered him on at graduation. Way to go, Mark! We are so excited for you. Wreck em' Tech!

Guns Up!The ceremony was great. I enjoyed listening to the speakers and watching the graduates walk across stage. Justin was busy chasing Caroline around the inside as well as the outside of United Spirit Arena. Needless to say, he was exhausted and I was relaxed and beaming with Tech pride after being inspired by the speakers. I think I got the better end of that deal. :)
After graduation, my mom hosted a small party for everyone at my brother's house. Fun times. Once again, congrats Mark. If you have any connections with fire departments, my brother would love a fire fighting job. He has already completed fire school as well!

Caroline is my little snuggly, affectionate, loveable child. Every night before bed she makes her rounds and puckers up for kisses. She gets offended if you turn your head, she does not accept anything but lips!

Moving Dirt

After what has seemed like an eternity (waiting on permits, financing, etc.) we have finally begun work on our new home. We started moving dirt on Thursday, December 17th.

Sitting around on a Sunday

Today we enjoyed the beautiful weather and spent much needed time outdoors. Caroline got to swing, go on a walk, and just run, climb, and sit around outdoors.

This evening we decided to make our Gingerbread House. I pretty much did all the work, Caroline was not interested. She is a little young for this stuff!Before I decorated.

This is the only picture I will show,because the other pictures are too up close and you can tell how awful my craftsmanship is. I got really tired of icing this thing about halfway through and just started slopping icing on. These things are harder than they look.

Not into Santa, but watchout Gingerbread Man!

Caroline met Santa today, and behaved the way most young toddlers do...terrified. She could tell what was about to happen as we were in line and she had a death grip on me. Justin sat up there with her, but that was still not enough for her to feel comfortable. Here are the best pictures I could get.

We visited the Santa in Sundance Square, which is beautiful when it is all lit up at night.

Justin's mom made her this precious snowman outfit. Caroline loved it, almost a little too much, she could hardly keep her hands off him.

Gingerbread men surrounded the sleigh and Caroline sure did love them! If only she liked Santa half as much, we might have gotten a cute picture. Check these pictures out!

Finally, this is a sweet picture of Caroline heading to a Christmas party last weekend. I think her eyes look so bright in this picture. Usually her eyes look more brown in pictures, but they are a soft grayish color.
